Italy

Italy is a Mediterranean country in Southern Europe that is home to 59 million people. Sometimes considered the seat of modern civilization, Italy is home to the oldest human remains in Europe. The Roman Empire was centered in Rome, which is still the capital of Italy today. Italy was also central to European art and science when the Renaissance began in the 15th and 16th centuries. As a nation with a long history of influencing cultures all over the world, it is not surprising that Italy continues to be an important focus of fashion and culinary advancement.
